A man is in a critical condition after being attacked by a group of unknown men at Sydney’s Darling Harbour. A man remains in a critical condition after hitting his head on the footpath during a fight at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
Emergency crews were called to Cockle Bay Wharf, near Pyrmont Bridge early on Sunday morning to find a man with serious head injuries. Police said the 25-year-old was out with friends at Cockle Bay Wharf about 1am on Sunday when they got into an argument with a group of three men.
Police said the 25-year-old fell to the ground after being punched in the face when confronted by a group of men, who then fled the scene. The argument turned into a fight and police say the man was hit a number of times by one of the three men before he fell, hitting his head on the brick promenade.
The injured man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he has been placed in an induced coma. Witnesses say the trio ran off through Town Square towards Wheat Street where they jumped into a grey or blue car.
Police are yet to make any arrests and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The injured man was taken to St Vincent’s hospital with serious head injuries and was placed in an induced coma before he underwent surgery.
