A 12-year-old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after being found with eight stab wounds to his chest and back in Hoxton, north London. A 12-year-old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed eight times in a gang-related attack, police said.
Police said the boy was stable and his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. Shortly before the child was attacked, near flats in Hoxton, north London, police were called to another stabbing nearby following a fight.
Detectives from the Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating the attack, which happened near the entrance to a block of flats in Stanway Court. A 19-year-old was found with stab injuries to his hand and leg in Gorsuch Street. His injuries were not thought to be serious.
The attacker was described as a young black male, aged 15 to 25 years. Police said both stabbings were linked.
The attack on the 12-year-old happened near flats in Stanway Court at about 22:15 BST on Tuesday.
