Bury boy arrested after pupil stabbed with scissors

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after a pupil was stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors.

The 15-year-old boy was injured at Castlebrook High School, in Unsworth, Bury, Greater Manchester, on Wednesday.

He was punched and kicked to the ground before receiving two puncture wounds to his neck, said police.

The arrested boy was held on suspicion of wounding with intent and later released on bail.
