Watch: Man in Question Time audience nails it over MPs' pay
Version 0 of 1. The Question Time panel was discussing the government's decision to start telling patients how much their prescriptions cost the taxpayer. Drug packets that costs the NHS more than £20 will be marked with a label stating that they have been "funded by the UK taxpayer" along with the total price that the prescription costs the health service. The move inspired a man in the audience to make the ingenious suggestion that the same price tag be stuck onto each MP. With our elected representatives set to be awarded with a 10 per cent pay rise from £67,070 to £74,000, the sticker will have to be much bigger than the price tags stuck on prescription packages. |
