Recycling plant fire 'to continue burning into next week'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-33480913 Version 0 of 1. A large fire that started at a recycling plant on Tuesday is expected to continue burning into next week. Bales of household waste and shredded carpet have been burning at Mid UK Recycling in Ancaster, near Sleaford. The alarm was initially raised amid reports of thick, black smoke being visible from several miles away. A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said there were still "some small pockets of fire" that would continue burning over the weekend. He said roads closed in the area had been fully reopened. It is the second fire to hit the firm in the past two years. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is expected to start once it is extinguished. |
