Scorch damage has been caused to the Sammy Duddy conflict transformation centre in north Belfast after windows were smashed and three petrol bombs thrown in. An unexploded pipe bomb was also found. Army bomb experts made the device safe. Police said they received reports of a building at York Road being on fire at about 01:30 BST on Sunday. Two petrol bombs ignited causing slight scorch damage to a ground floor office. The pipe bomb was taken away for forensic examination. The Fire and Rescue Service and police also attended the scene. |
