Three charged after man, 91, injured during car robbery

Three men have been charged after a 91-year-old man was injured when he was dragged out of his car which was then stolen.

The victim was targeted by men on the driveway of his home in Shotton Colliery, County Durham, at 21:00 BST on Friday.

His blue Renault Clio was stolen and he suffered a cut to one of his arms and was treated by paramedics.

Three local men, two aged 26 and one 19, have been charged with robbery.

They will appear before Peterlee Magistates' Court on Monday.
