VisitEngland said tourists had spent £380m in Yorkshire in the 12 months to June - 45% up on the previous year. Tourists spent £1.9bn in Yorkshire in the year to March 2015, 7.5% up on the year before, said Visit England.
In the same time period there were 2.3m visits to the county - an increase of 23% over the previous 12 months. Spending in the first quarter of 2015 was £380m, an increase of 45% on the same quarter in 2014.
The number of visitor nights spent in Yorkshire during the 12 months also increased by 18% to 5.3m.
