Three arrested on suspicion of being involved in Islamist-related terrorism
Version 0 of 1. Three men have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in Islamist-related terrorism following police raids across two counties. A man in his 20s was arrested at a business address in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, while two other men, one in his 20s and the other in his 30s, were arrested at residential properties in Luton, Bedfordshire, Scotland Yard said. Armed officers were involved in one of the arrests but no shots were fired and searches are now under way at two addresses in the Luton area, the force added. Officers from the Metropolitan police counter terrorism command arrested the men on suspicion of “being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism”. A statement from Scotland Yard said: “Today’s arrests and searches are part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist-related terrorism.” |
