The soldiers from Chad forced the fighters back across the border into Nigeria, the official said. In Niger, government troops also fought with suspected Boko Haram militants just inside its border with Nigeria, security officials there said Friday. At least 30 suspected militants were killed by Niger’s army, which began an operation on Thursday to search for Boko Haram fighters in villages near the border, the officials said.
