Camberley missing woman: Body found and man arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found by detectives searching for a missing woman.

Charmaine Thomas, 31, from Camberley, had not been in contact with her family since 8 July, Surrey Police said.

A woman's body was discovered by police at a property in Camberley on Saturday.

No formal identification has been made but Ms Thomas's family have been notified. A man in his 20s is being questioned by police.

Surrey Police said: "Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this extremely difficult time."

Police said the death is currently being treated as unexplained while officers carry out further inquiries.
