The Queensland police service says the two officers were stood down from duty in the northern part of the state on Friday while an investigation is conducted by the Ethical Standards Command.

Police inform the public when an officer faces “serious allegations”, a police spokesman told the Courier Mail.

“This does not mean that the allegations against the officers have been substantiated,” he said.
