I have no time for Lord Sewel whatsoever, but I would like to point out that George Osborne included income from drugs and prostitution in the GDP figures in an effort to make them look better. • Thank you for the photograph of Bamburgh Castle “on a gloriously sunny day” (Letters page, 28 July). Those of us taking our summer holidays here this week are finding views of the castle to be more “visible through the persistent rain”.
