A 17-year-old boy has died in a canal while being chased by police. A 17-year-old boy who was being searched for by police after a row at home died in a canal in east London.

He was missing for about 40 minutes before being seen, running away again and going into the canal, the Met said. He was spotted 40 minutes later but ran off and went into the canal where he died, the Met said.
