Attempted murder charges over Mountain Ash shooting

Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting in Rhondda Cynon Taff which left a man in a critical condition in hospital. Mark Jones, 43, was shot in a layby on New Road, Mountain Ash, on Sunday. The pair, aged 51 and 46, have been charged with attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to commit an offence. A third man was released on bail on Wednesday. Both men will appear at Pontypridd Magistrates Court on Saturday. Mr Jones is being treated at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil. |
