Sydney siege gunman's former partner to stand trial for murder
Version 0 of 1. The former partner of Sydney siege gunman, Man Haron Monis, has been committed to stand trial for the murder of his ex-wife. Amirah Droudis, 36, is accused of murdering Monis’ former wife, Noleen Pal, who was stabbed and set alight at a Werrington apartment block in Sydney’s west on 21 April 2013. Monis, who took 18 people hostage inside the Lindt cafe in Sydney’s city centre in December, had been charged with being an accessory to the alleged murder. Droudis did not enter a plea when her case was mentioned at Penrith local court on Monday. She was committed to stand trial at the supreme court where she is expected to be arraigned on 4 September. |
