Speaking outside court, Ms Nuttall said: "My client wishes to apologise publicly for her actions which were completely out of character."

"I am ashamed of the way I acted that night and deeply regret the whole incident."
The girl, who has left school, said she was "disgusted" with herself after being shown a video of what happened.
The court had previously heard two groups of youngsters had clashed on the night of the attack.
The teenager then accused two girls in the other group "of giving her a dirty look".
She forced the first girl to get on her hands and knees to apologise and hit her in the face with a handbag before turning on a second victim.
The teenager then went through the victim's bag, stole her phone and purse and told her she would "beat her up if she grassed".
