Ilfracombe storm claims £25,000 sports car

A £25,000 sports car has been smashed by huge waves that crashed over the harbour wall at Ilfracombe in Devon.

The Nissan 350X Nismo was parked at Cheyne Beach car park when waves crashed over the harbour wall at high tide.

The waves hit Ilfracombe as holidaymakers were warned to stay out of the sea at a number of West Country beaches.

Another car was moved several yards by the force of the waves.
