Turkish warplanes pounded suspected Kurdish rebel targets in southeast Turkey on Tuesday, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported. The jets struck positions held by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, also known as the P.K.K., near the town of Daglica, in Hakkari Province, hours after the insurgents fired shots and mortar rounds at a military base, wounding a girl from a nearby village. Earlier, rebels killed two soldiers in Sirnak Province, the military said. Hostilities have flared recently between government forces and the rebels, ending a fragile truce. The rebels have launched dozens of attacks against the security forces, and the military has carried out airstrikes on P.K.K. targets in northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey.
