Woman charged over Colinton Care Home 'assaults'

A 60-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with two alleged assaults at a care home for the elderly in Edinburgh.

Three members of staff were suspended last month following claims of physical abuse at Colinton Care Home, which has more than 50 residents.

Police said inquiries were continuing.

Four Seasons Health Care, which owns the home, said it has been helping the police investigation and relatives had been informed.
