Metro Nashville Police Department has confirmed that the shooter is now dead. An officer entered the theatre where the film "Mad Max" was showing, and exchanged fire with the gunman. A swat team engaged the shooter, who was armed with a gun and hatchet, and killed him during a shootout.
The gunman was also carrying two backpacks, which are currently being investigated by a bomb squad.
