Police investigating the murder of west Belfast woman Jennifer Dornan have said they are no longer looking for anyone in connection with her death. A man arrested in County Donegal on Friday evening is believed to be a suspect in the murder of 30-year-old Jennifer Dornan, police have said.
The 30 year old was stabbed before her house in Hazel View in the Lagmore estate was set on fire last Sunday. The west Belfast woman was stabbed before her home in the Lagmore estate was set on fire last Sunday.
On Monday, police said they were treating her death as murder. The 37-year-old man was arrested on Friday in Bundoran, County Donegal, by Irish police on another matter.
Det Ch Insp Alan Dickson said: "As a result of close liaison between detectives investigating the murder of Jennifer Dornan and our colleagues in An Garda Siochána, a 37-year-old man has been arrested in County Donegal yesterday evening, Friday 7 August, on an unrelated matter. " The PSNI have said they are no longer looking for anyone in connection with her murder.
They also said they are considering seeking an extradition order to bring the man to Northern Ireland.
