As the glass shattered, a shard cut another woman’s throat. But the judge spared public school-educated Drew jail. Why? Largely because he worked for a City fund manager. Noting Drew had a “privileged background and a lot going for him”, and bearing in mind his City career, the judge suspended the sentence. Which invites the question: what if Drew had been a builder? |
