A missing girl believed to have left home to see a man she met online has been found "safe and well", say police. A missing girl believed to have left home to see a man she met online has been found, say police.
The 14-year-old girl was last seen in Eston on Teesside at about 16:00 BST on Thursday. She was reported missing at about 22:00 and a search involving 30 officers was launched. Cleveland Police have also confirmed a 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction, following the girl's disappearance on Thursday.
Cleveland Police confirmed on Friday morning the teenager had been found. The girl from Teesside was found earlier, after being reported missing at 22:00 BST.
Officers had appealed to bed and breakfast owners, as well as taxi and bus drivers, to be vigilant. The search for her involved 30 officers and the force confirmed she was found in the Middlesbrough area.
