GB lose two to injury for NZ game New Zealand 34-4 Great Britain
(about 1 hour later)
Great Britain have been forced to make two changes to the side for Saturday's Tri-Nations game against New Zealand. Great Britain's hopes of reaching the Tri-Nations final suffered a huge blow as they were totally outplayed by a dominant New Zealand in Wellington.
Brian Carney has lost his battle to overcome a hamstring injury and Sean O'Loughlin is out with what is believed to be a leg muscle strain. Stacey Jones gave a masterclass at scrum-half, while his forwards' display provided the platform for the Kiwis' record winning margin over the Lions.
Danny McGuire will return at stand-off with Leon Pryce reverting to the wing. Adrian Morley is back in the second row with Gareth Carvell on the bench. Nigel Vagana's opening try was followed by a brace for Brent Webb to give New Zealand a 16-4 half-time lead.
New Zealand have made six changes after two consecutive losses. And the Kiwis added three more tries after the break as the Lions crumbled.

Bradford's Shontaye Hape replaces Tame Tupou at wing, while the return of Steve Matai at centre sees Nigel Vagana move to five-eighth and Jermoe Ropati dropped. Gareth Ellis scored Britain's only try, benefiting from a Manu Vatuvei error midway through the first half but that was as good as it got for the Lions.
Up front, utility player Dene Halatau is in at hooker in place of Nathan Fien, who was deemed ineligible. Great Britain will now have to beat Australia next week to secure a place in the Tri-nations final.
David Fa'alogo makes his first Test start at lock with Frank Pritchard dropped to the bench. More to follow.
We're pretty determined to go there and perform better than we did the first time we were in New Zealand GB coach Brian Noble Hull winger Gareth Raynor, who scored the decisive try in Sydney, remains in the side.
Prop Stuart Fielden will play despite having his nose broken by Willie Mason last week.
Great Britain will book a final date with Australia with victory in Wellington.
But GB coach Brian Noble has warned his side to expect a backlash from the Kiwis this weekend after they were docked two points for fielding Fien in their 18-14 win over the Lions in Christchurch.

"The New Zealanders have themselves been aggrieved and have got a chip on their shoulder over the way they've been treated," he said.
"So everyone's been talking about New Zealand being focused on what they need to achieve to make sure they're still in this competition.
"But we're pretty determined to go there and perform better than we did the first time we were in New Zealand.
"We have got to stay at the right end of the field and we have got to stop giving the Kiwis reasons to score on us."
