GB unchanged for New Zealand game GB lose two to injury for NZ game
(1 day later)
Great Britain have named an unchanged side for Saturday's Tri-Nations clash with New Zealand after Newcastle wing Brian Carney came through training. Great Britain have been forced to make two changes to the side for Saturday's Tri-Nations game against New Zealand.
Carney suffered a hamstring injury in the 23-12 win over Australia and coach Brian Noble says he is "99%" fit. Brian Carney has lost his battle to overcome a hamstring injury and Sean O'Loughlin is out with what is believed to be a leg muscle strain.
Stand-off Danny McGuire has recovered from the thigh injury that forced him to miss the Sydney contest but fails to displace Leon Pryce. Danny McGuire will return at stand-off with Leon Pryce reverting to the wing. Adrian Morley is back in the second row with Gareth Carvell on the bench.
McGuire is one of five replacements with one to be omitted. New Zealand have made six changes after two consecutive losses.
Pryce, who moved from the wing to replace McGuire, will again partner Sean Long at half-back. onClick="javascript:launchAVConsoleStory('6135520'); return false;" href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/video_and_audio/help_guide/4304501.stm">Inbterview: GB coach Brian Noble
Hull winger Gareth Raynor, who scored the decisive try in Sydney, remains in the side. Shontaye Hape replacing Tame Tupou at wing, while the return of Steve Matai at centre sees Nigel Vagana move to five-eighth and Jermoe Ropati dropped.
Up front utility player Dene Halatau is in at hooker in place of Nathan Fien, who was deemed ineligible. David Fa'alogo makes his first Test start at lock with Frank Pritchard dropped to the bench.

Carney's availability for the game was practically confirmed on Thursday when he came through Wednesday's training session.
"I would put him at 99% at the moment," said Noble after the squad arrived in Wellington.
"He trained fully on Wednesday when the rest of us were getting our feet up and he went through with flying colours.
"But flying and hydration and all these kind of things can have an effect and he needs to get another decent practice under his belt on Thursday."
