Police have launched a murder enquiry following the death and a man has been arrested.  The woman in her 80s was declared dead at the scene, at Delamer House in Naze Park Road, Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex Police confirmed.
Officers were called the Delamer House care home in Naze Park road just after 9:00 am on Monday following reports that a woman had been seriously injured.  A man, also a resident at the same address, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
