A man has reportedly been shot after threatening officers at the Quakers Hill police station in Sydney’s west. A man has reportedly died after being shot at the Quakers Hill police station in Sydney’s west.
NSW police confirmed that a police operation was under way at Quakers Hill police station on Tuesday morning. The man was allegedly carrying a knife when he entered the police station on Lalor Road, and was shot by officers just before 10.40am on Tuesday.
He is understood to have died at the scene.
Fairfax journalist Andrew Brown tweeted that NSW Police have confirmed to him that the incident is not related to terrorism.

The man was allegedly carrying a knife when he entered the police station on Lalor Road and was shot in the arm by officers just before 10.40am. Ambulance and a CareFlight helicopter are understood to have left the area, but parts of Lalor Road remain cordoned off.
Police have cordoned off parts of Lalor Road and paramedics are on the scene. A CareFlight helicopter has landed nearby. NSW police will hold a press conference at 12.30pm.
