Warning shots have been fired during an arrest at Amsterdam's central train station. Warning shots have been fired during a police operation near Amsterdam's central train station.
Dutch police said no-one was injured in the incident, which came on the same day at least 30 people were killed in explosions in Brussels. The gunfire came before a short chase involving a black Volkswagen Golf, which ended with three people being arrested in the street a few hundred metres away from the station.
It followed a reported police chase in the city. The reasons for the arrest and gunfire are not yet known. Dutch police said no-one was injured.
The area around the station has now reportedly been cordoned off, and there is a heavy police presence.
It happened on the same day at least 30 people were killed in explosions in Brussels.
There is currently no indication the two events are linked, and the reasons for the arrests and gunfire are not yet known.
