Abduction fear over teenage girl Romanian teenager 'safe and well'

A teenage Romanian girl may have been abducted as she walked to a supermarket in Glasgow, police fear. A Romanian teenager, who has not been seen since leaving her family home in Glasgow on Saturday, has made contact with her parents.
Fifteen-year-old Irina Carpaci disappeared after leaving her home in Daisy Street at about 1100 BST on Saturday. Police said Irina Carpaci phoned them on Monday to inform them that she was safe and well.
Detectives believe she may have talked to a motorist and got into a car. The 15-year-old is understood to have returned to the family home.
A police spokesman said: "It is a possible abduction and we are appealing for anyone in the area who saw anything to contact us." Strathclyde Police said they still wanted to speak to anyone who may have seen Irina after she left the family home in Govanhill.
