Ahmed Adel, the vice president of EgyptAir, said that the company’s search teams have found debris from Flight 804 as he gave an interview to CNN. "We have found the wreckage," he said. The company also tweeted that the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation had received an official letter from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry informing them about the discovery of debris from the plane near the island of Karpathos. “We stand corrected on finding the wreckage, because what we identified is not a part of our plane. So the search and rescue is still going on,” Adel said in an interview with CNN.
