Police have launched a murder inquiry after a family of four was found dead at a house in Newcastle. A 33-year-old relative of a family of four found dead at a house in Newcastle has been arrested, police said.

Police are trying to trace a man who was a "regular visitor" to the house and was there on Tuesday morning. The man was arrested in connection with the deaths at an address in Gateshead and is being questioned in Newcastle.
Another property less than a mile away in Rydal Road, Gosforth, was sealed off but no-one was found at the address. Another property less than a mile away in Rydal Road, Gosforth, was sealed off after the bodies were found.
Chief Inspector Alan Brown, of Northumbria Police said: "Just before 0900 GMT on Tuesday we received a call of an incident at Hawthorn Gardens.
"We have information that a male visited the premises at some time this morning before the incident and inquiries are ongoing to trace this man."
