"The facts of this case show is that she was raped by this young footballer in that room not that she had consensual sex with him."
Jurors were told Mr Evans's friend, ex-Port Vale player Clayton McDonald, had taken the woman back to his hotel room.
The court heard he rang Mr Evans to say "I've got a girl" and the former Wales international arrived at the hotel 15 minutes later.
Mr McDonald was acquitted of rape at the original trial in 2012.
