She has been bailed and will now face a re-trial after the ruling. She has been released on bail.
Ms Newland's lawyer argued that her conviction was "unsafe" and three appeal judges quashed her conviction.
She was convicted by a jury of three counts of sexual assault at Chester Crown Court last year.
