Investigations will resume into a fatal crash that killed three men and injured a five-year-old boy in the New South Wales Hunter region. Adam O’Regan, a rural real estate agent, was one of three men killed in a horror car crash in the NSW Hunter region, which a five-year-old boy survived.
Police discovered the crash site on Waverley Road in Gundy, near Scone, about 5pm on Monday. It’s understood O’Regan was showing the boy, his father and grandfather around a property at Gundy, near Scone, on Monday when their four-wheel-drive plunged down an embankment.
The bodies of three men were found ejected from the car, which appeared to have rolled down an embankment, while a five-year-old boy was found at the scene. The child, who has a broken arm, was found wandering around the property hours later.
Glen Ramplin from the Westpac rescue helicopter service told the ABC: “The people on the property ... have come across the young boy and emergency services have been called,” He reportedly led authorities to the tragic scene before being airlifted to hospital in a stable condition and reunited with his mother.
The boy was airlifted to Scone hospital and was then transported by ambulance to John Hunter hospital in Newcastle. Glen Ramplin from the Westpac rescue helicopter service told the ABC: “The people on the property ... have come across the young boy and emergency services have been called.”
