The victims' husband and father came across the scene by accident.
Family friend Oliver Hughes said he doesn't know how Mr McLernon is going to cope.
"It's something that God almighty knows couldn't be a worse situation.
"I don't know how the poor man is going to get the strength to handle it all.
"The whole family is in total, total shock," he said.
