Four people are in hospital following a suspected chemical leak at a brewery. Eleven staff and 11 emergency crew members have been taken to hospital after an ammonia gas leak at a brewery.

It is believed to be an ammonia leak, a fire officer has told the BBC. Carlsberg has said there was a "safety incident" at its Bridge Street site. In a joint statement, the emergency services said the gas leak was confined to the Bridge Street site and staff from within the building were evacuated.
Northampton General Hospital said it is treating four people, and the ambulance service's Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) has been at the scene. They said there was "no risk to members of the public outside".

The statement said five people were taken to Northampton General Hospital and six people were taken to Milton Keynes Hospital.
The nature of their injuries and current conditions have not been released.
It said nine firefighters and two police officers were also taken to hospital as a "precautionary measure".
