A man and two children have been found dead inside a car in the Conwy valley, North Wales Police have said. The bodies of a man and two children have been found inside a Land Rover in a country lane in the Conwy valley.
The car was found parked off a hillside road leading from the A470 between Tal-y-cafn and Maenan, near Llanrwst at around 1550 BST. North Wales Police said the deaths of the man, boy and girl near Llanrwst are being treated as suspicious.
It is believed a man and a boy and girl were inside the car. The road has been sealed off by police. They are believed to be from the Cheshire area and family have been informed, said a force spokeswoman.
A North Wales Police spokesman said they were being treated as suspicious deaths. Police were alerted by a passer-by at around 1500 BST who found the vehicle parked off a hillside road leading from the A470 between Tal-y-cafn and Maenan.
North Wales Fire and Rescue were called to the incident. The spokeswoman said police were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Post mortem examinations will be held on Monday morning at Glan Clwyd Hospital by pathologist Dr Brian Rogers.
The road is still sealed off by police, who are carrying out forensic examinations.
They have also been conducting house-to-house inquiries.
