The Met Police said on Twitter: "As well as #LondonBridge officers have also responded to an incident in #BoroughMarket. We have armed police at the scenes." The Met Police confirmed on Twitter that officers were responding to reports of stabbings in  Borough Market, where it said "shots have been fired".
The force added that officers were also responding to an incident in the Vauxhall area.
Police officers earlier responded to reports of a vehicle in collision with pedestrians on London Bridge.
