Police were called to Shepiston Lane, Hayes, at 8.41pm on Friday following reports of a road traffic collision. The three, all believed to be 16, were pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics. Police said all of the next of kin had been informed. Floral tributes were left at the scene to boys named George, Josh and Harry.

A 28-year-old man who was inside the a black Audi was arrested and taken to a west London hospital for treatment. A Metropolitan police statement said he would be taken into custody once discharged.
The victims were believed to be 16 years old. Police said their next of kin had been informed, but formal identification was not yet complete. Staff at a football club on Shepiston Lane said they believed the teenagers had been on their way to a 16th birthday party on the premises. A member of staff at the Goals centre said the party had been cancelled after the tragedy.

Det Jane Shaw, of the Met’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “These are horrific circumstances that have resulted in three young people losing their lives. I need anyone who saw what happened to contact police immediately.”
