A man in his 40s suffered serious injuries and was taken to a west London hospital where he later died. His next of kin have been informed but formal identification has yet to take place, the Metropolitan police said. An airport spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that following a serious accident involving two vehicles on our airfield, an airport colleague has passed away. Our deepest condolences go to the family and friends affected by this accident.
