Freezing temperatures are continuing into the weekend after snow once again left many motorists stuck in their vehicles overnight. Freezing temperatures are continuing to disrupt travel and sports events.
A number of League One and League Two football matches have been postponed, some roads remain closed and hundreds of homes are without power.
Parts of southern England saw 19cm (7.5in) of snow on Friday, with motorists stuck in vehicles overnight and falling trees blocking train lines.
Temperatures could fall as low as -16C (3F) on Saturday night, with the Met Office warning of icy conditions.

The Met Office said temperatures could reach -16C (3F) in Scotland on Saturday night but that Sunday should be milder.

Disruption on the roads continued in Kent on Saturday, with local highways officers tweeting that drivers may not be able to access vehicles abandoned overnight on the A2045 "due to the continued risk of falling trees". Up to 1,500 people are without power in the Basingstoke area following the heavy snowfall.
However the A249, which was closed overnight on Friday, has now reopened. Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said engineers were struggling to reach "fault locations... with snowdrifts of up to 5ft in places" but hoped to have power restored to all affected homes by Saturday afternoon.
Services on South Western Railway - which runs trains from London as far west as Exeter - could face disruption until midday on Saturday after "a band of heavy snow", National Rail warned. The area bore the brunt of Friday's snowfall, with drivers abandoning vehicles and the local hospital urging people not to use the A&E department if possible.
Yellow weather warnings for snow and ice are expected to remain in place across the UK until noon on Saturday. Kent County Council said they had 18 tree surgeons working to clear the A2045 where a number of trees were brought down by the weight of the snow.
Pitch inspections Overnight sleet and snow in the county on Friday hampered efforts to free drivers trapped on the roads, with police reporting an "incredibly busy night".
The weather has also affected this weekend's football programme, with Saturday's match between Port Vale and Tranmere Rovers postponed because of a frozen pitch. The A2045 in Walderslade was not expected to be open again until Sunday afternoon.
Five Scottish League One and Two matches have also been postponed. In the West Country, Bristol Airport - which closed its runway on Friday - said there may be some further delays due to the de-icing of runways.
Several of Saturday's matches will be subject to pitch inspections on Saturday morning but fans heading for matches can check for the latest updates on postponements on the BBC Sport website. Cardiff Airport was also anticipating some disruption "due to adverse weather".
London City Airport cancelled or diverted several flights on Friday evening because of heavy snowfall but normal services have now resumed. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across southern parts of the UK from 16:00 GMT on Saturday to late Sunday morning.
The airport said any concerned passengers should "check their flight status in advance" with their airline. It said, while most areas would be dry, temperatures are expected to fall rapidly after dark with wet surfaces refreezing, meaning an increased likelihood of accidents due to icy surfaces.
Bristol airport also closed its runway due to snow on Friday. Services are expected to return to normal on Saturday, but the airport said there may be some further delays due to the de-icing of runways. Sports fixtures postponed

Southern England bore the brunt of Friday's fresh snowfall, with the Met Office recording snow at a depth of 19cm (7.5in) at RAF Odiham near Basingstoke on Friday evening. Six English Football League matches have been postponed because of snow and freezing conditions in the UK.
Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital made an appeal for nursing staff within walking distance to help, as it faced staffing issues when the town's roads becoming gridlocked on Friday. Five Scottish League One and Two matches have also been postponed, including one League One match, Accrington v Blackpool and five league two matches.
Temperatures fell to their lowest level this winter in the early hours of Friday, with Braemar, Aberdeenshire, dropping to -15.4C (6F).
This is the lowest in the UK since 2012 - when temperatures fell to -15.6C in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.
