The fight started inside a restaurant in the 6200 block of Livingston Road in the Oxon Hill area and continued outside where the stabbing occurred, according to Pr. George’s County police. Police were investigating whether the dispute broke out over a Popeyes chicken sandwich, according to two law enforcement sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was in its early stages.
Further details were not immediately available. The fight started about 7 p.m. inside a restaurant in the 6200 block of Livingston Road in the Oxon Hill area and continued outside, where the stabbing occurred, according to Prince George’s police.
The victim was found in a parking lot with stab wounds, the police said. They said he was taken to a hospital, where he died.
The Popeyes chicken sandwich proved highly popular this summer, with a sales volume that caused the chain to exhaust its inventory by late August. The chain resumed selling the sandwiches on Sunday.
