Police were investigating whether the dispute broke out over a Popeyes chicken sandwich, according to two law enforcement sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was in its early stages. Popeyes resumed selling its popular sandwich again on Sunday.
The fight started about 7 p.m. inside a restaurant in the 6200 block of Livingston Road in the Oxon Hill area and continued outside, where the stabbing occurred, according to Prince George’s police. It could not be learned which of the two men was stabbed.
The victim was found in a parking lot with stab wounds, the police said. They said he was taken to a hospital, where he died.
