Two slain, one wounded in Brightwood shooting, D.C. police say | |

Two people were fatally shot Saturday evening in Northwest Washington, the D.C. police said. A third person was wounded in the triple shooting.. | |
The shooting occurred around 5 p.m. in an apartment house at 13th and Peabody Streets in the Brightwood neighborhood, according to police. | |
The two people who were slain were described as older male teenagers.One died at the scene and the other at a hospital, according to police chief Peter Newsham who went to the scene. The woman’s wounds appeared not to be life threatening, police said. | |
Newsham said the victims were found in a hallway of the four story brick apartment house. He said there were indications that one or more of them may have been targeted, but police released no motive in the shootings. | |
Police said someone was spotted leaving the building and driving north on 13th Street in a small black auto. He was not described. | |
