Two people were killed, and one was wounded in a triple shooting Saturday evening in Northwest Washington, D.C. police said.
The shooting occurred about 5 p.m. in an apartment house at 13th and Peabody streets in the Brightwood area, police said.
The two killed appeared to be older male teenagers, police said. One died at the scene and the other at a hospital, according to Police Chief Peter Newsham, who went to the scene. A woman’s wounds appeared not to be life-threatening, police said.
Newsham said the victims were found in a hallway of the four-story brick apartment house. He said there were indications that one or more of them may have been targeted, but no motive in the shootings was given.
Police said someone was spotted leaving the building and driving north on 13th Street in a small black automobile. He was not described.
