Man's lung punctured in attack Cigarettes stolen from off-sales

Police in Craigavon are investigating the assault of a 35-year-old man on Wednesday evening. A large quantity of cigarettes has been stolen from a delivery van in east Belfast.
Four men attacked the man at about 1700 BST outside a property in Legahory Court. At about 1030 BST on Monday the van arrived at an off-sales on Rosetta Road. When the driver got out he was forced into the back of it by two men.
The victim was taken to hospital suffering from a punctured lung and a broken bone in his back. The driver was bound and the van driven to Shelbourne Road, off the Cregagh Road, where it was met by another van.
Anyone who has any information or saw a white Peugeot 306 in the area at the time is asked to contact police on 0845 6008000. The cigarettes were transferred into the waiting van and the thieves escaped.

Man's ear bitten off in assault
A man has had his ear bitten off during an attack in Coleraine.
He was assaulted by up to five men at Beresford Road between 0030 and 0100 BST on Friday.
It is believed the gang ran off in the direction of Beresford Place.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

Two arrested over city ramming
Two men have been arrested after a stolen car rammed a police car in south Belfast.
A Vauxhall car was spotted in Essex Street at about 0420 BST on Wednesday. It hit a police car and its occupants fled on foot.
Two men, one in his late teens and the other in his 20s were later arrested at McClure Street and Cromwell Road.
The car, along with a Ford Focus, had earlier been stolen from the Lower Ormeau area.
The officers in the rammed police car were unhurt.
