A pilot and one passenger have escaped serious injury after a light aircraft made an emergency landing in a field in County Tyrone. Two separate investigations are to be carried out after light planes got into difficulties in Londonderry and Tyrone on Sunday.
Their light aircraft landed in a field close to the Pomeroy Road near Dungannon. A pilot and his passenger escaped injury after their plane made an emergency landing near Dungannon.

At City of Derry Airport the emergency services were on standby after the pilot reported a problem. That plane also landed safely.
The Dungannon alert happened shortly after noon. The light aircraft landed in a field close to the Pomeroy Road near the town.
