In a separate incident, a body was recovered from Newton Beach in Porthcawl on Sunday morning. Police divers eventually found the teenager's body at 1916 BST. He has not yet been formally identified.
South Wales Police said the body was found at Porthcawl at 0715 BST.
The coroner has been informed and the person's body has been identified but no details of identity have been released.
