Fifteen people have been arrested in early morning drugs raids in Wrexham. Four people have been charged after a series of early morning drug raids in Wrexham.
About 100 officers arrived at a dozen addresses in the town at 0630 GMT, based on information from an eight-week undercover operation. About 100 officers raided a dozen addresses at 0630 GMT following an eight-week undercover operation, arresting 15 people.
A quantity of what is thought to be Class A drugs was seized. Two of the 15 being questioned are women. A 25-year-old woman and three men aged 37, 40 and 45, all from Wrexham, face charges of possessing and supplying Class A drugs.
They will appear before magistrates at Wrexham on Thursday morning.

He said: "Undercover officers were deployed for eight weeks prior to Christmas.
"I'm confident people will be charged today and appear before a court tomorrow."

Chief Supt Thomson said neighbours of some of the properties raided had come out into the street to congratulate officers. Police said the operation, codenamed Quantity, was the result of work by two undercover officers from another force.
He added: "In one area, local people came out and were extremely pleased, and were clapping my officers on the back."

Chief Supt Thomson said the raids had been in response to ongoing concerns from residents about drugs in local communities, adding: "It's an ongoing battle for us and we fight as hard as we can."
Queensway councillor Colin Powell said locals had become increasingly concerned about drugs in the community.
He said he could "well understand" people applauding the raids.
Police said they were planning to distribute leaflets in the areas where the raids took place, informing local people what action had been taken, and reassuring them what steps were being taken to tackle drugs problems.
Chief Supt Thompson said he was aware the arrests could leave a "void" for people dependant on drugs.
